About the Artist
Tam Douglas is a watercolor artist based in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. Since taking up watercolor painting in late 2023, Douglas has been accepted into exhibitions across the state, including shows in Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, Ogden, Provo, Holladay, Brigham City, Morgan, and Logan — earning numerous awards and sales along the way.
Douglas achieved One-Star status in the Utah Watercolor Society within a few months of joining, having works juried into the 2025 Spring and Fall exhibits. One of her paintings in the 2025 Spring exhibit was selected by the Utah Division of Arts and Museums for its annual traveling exhibition, touring eight venues statewide over the year, while another won Best of Show in the UWS Summer exhibit. Her painting “Geometry in Nature” also picked up a Best of Show at the December 2025 Ogden Community Art Show.
Over the 2025 summer, she expanded into plein air painting, bringing speed, precision, and expressive detail to the challenging medium of watercolor. With a rapidly growing exhibition record, increasing recognition, and as Vice President of PCOO (Palette Club of Ogden), Douglas is establishing a strong presence in Utah’s contemporary art scene.
