Chasing the Light in an Otherwise Dark World – “Chasing the Light in an Otherwise Dark World” was painted during a time of chaos, instability, and collective uncertainty happening in our world. Deep shadows dominate, yet bursts of color insist on breaking through. It speaks to the human choice to hold fast to moments of goodness and hope, even when darkness feels overwhelming. Light Ever Elusive was painted during a continued troubles and uncertainty in the world. Light (hope, goodness, beauty), though seemingly elusive so much of the time, still tries to break through – despite overwhelming darkness that pervades the political landscape.
Primarily Violent –This abstract plays on both color and impact. Using blue, red, and yellow hues, the composition contrasts circular and geometric forms cut through by sharp, aggressive slashes of red and blue. These interruptions fracture the order, introducing tension and motion. Organic smears and dragged strokes pull the elements back into cohesion, blurring the line between control and impulse. The title nods not only to the primary color palette, but to an uncharacteristic ferocity, not usually present in the artists main body of work.
Still Chasing the Light was painted during a time of continued chaos, instability, and collective uncertainty in the world and polical landscape. Darker still than "Chasing the Light in an Otherwise Dark World," hope, though seemingly obscure, still pushes through as light, ever persistent.
Organic Musings on a Rainy Day –This abstract explores balance between structure and flow. A center emerges like a quiet gravity well, drawing the eye before sharp, angular strokes cut across it—interruptions, decisions, moments of change. A subtle horizon line anchors the composition, grounding the motion above and below. Soft, earthy tones suggest landscape without defining it, while geometric hints at manmade interruptions to these organic connections, blurring the line between control and release, intention and accident.
