Winter Bobcat – In the hush after the snowfall, the bobcat pauses—half-emerged from winter, half-lost to it. The world around him dissolves into white silence, time and distance softened by cold air and drifting light. Only his eye remains sharp, alive with intent, memory, and hunger. It holds the weight of seasons survived and paths yet to be taken. This is the moment before motion, when instinct listens harder than sound. The winter does not see him, but he sees everything. I Adore You – Eyes wide, heart full, trust and devotion packed into a tiny frame. Everything else fades—sunlight, folds of green, the world beyond—until there’s only this quiet adoration, steady and unspoken. Warmth and loyalty settle in the lap, in the pause between breaths, in the soft weight of a small body that thinks you’re everything. AWARD WINNER
Champion of Anarchy – This is Anarchy, in all her jacked, unapologetic glory. Dock diver, weight-puller, explosives detector—her accomplishments could fill a book. Eyes steady, a quiet sweetness surfaces in her gaze, hinting at the loyalty and heart beneath her intensity. She is capable, focused, unshakable. She doesn’t perform for praise; she performs because she can, because she must, because every challenge is another chance to show what a working dog can do when talent, strength, and attitude collide. Geometry in Nature explores the theme of "Patterns" through layered honeycomb motifs, abstract florals, and a vivid color palette. The detailed honeybee symbolizes nature’s order, while the shifting visibility of patterns reflects the harmony and complexity found in natural design. AWARD WINNERPrints!
Blue Steel – Quartz and Obsidian stride, paws in sync, swagger maxed and intensity dialed to Blue Steel—lethal enough to stop traffic. This is their runway… er… catwalk. Every step, every glance, a practiced statement: confident, cool, untouchable. Somewhere nearby, Marble has opted out, wisely avoiding the spotlight and the pressure of greatness. But these two? They were born for it. Fashion fades, fur endures.
Echoes of Home in the Golden Hour – When I came across this scene (American West Heritage Center in Logan, Utah), it stirred echoes of the childhood farm where I learned to ride horses and spent long hours in the barn, swinging from ropes and crawling through hay tunnels. My grandfather gave me a pair of peafowl he’d raised from eggs—loud, bold companions that followed me everywhere. Though this isn’t the farm I knew, its golden-hour light and familiar shapes brought a flood of early memories and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to paint it.
Hope – Colorful mist parts in a thorned, lifeless forest, and a horse moves steadily through it. There is no panic here, no rush to escape. A quiet glow lingers, subtle but undeniable, cutting through what looks spent and broken. This is hope without drama—calm, grounded, earned. Not the promise that nothing went wrong, but the proof that something strong remains, standing clear-eyed in the aftermath.
Sugarhouse Congregation – In the shade of mature trees at Sugarhouse Park (Sugarhouse, Utah), geese gather quietly on an open lawn. Beyond them, a fountain stirs the lake, while city buildings rise against distant Wasatch mountains. This moment — serene, balanced, and unassuming — reflects the quiet coexistence of the natural and urban. The geese, grounded and grazing, mirror the skyline behind them in a soft, living rhythm. Here, nature claims its place not through grandeur, but through presence — a congregation of life in a shared, breathing space. AWARD WINNER
Assembled and Ready for Business – Cats and dogs, side by side, each claiming their place in the frame. Eyes bright, ears up, tails tucked or wagging—everyone knows the rules of engagement. A formal pose, yes, but with just enough attitude to keep it interesting. Every glance and posture hints at the personalities behind the fur, a family portrait that refuses to be ordinary. SOLD!
Feathered Showstopper – He knows he’s being watched—and that’s exactly the point. Color punches forward, unapologetic, presence undeniable. His confidence doesn’t ask for attention; it assumes it—swagger without noise, beauty without explanation. This isn’t about showing off. It’s about knowing exactly who you are and letting the rest speak for itself.
Flower and Floof – Floof on a mission, nose twitching, tail high, curiosity in full throttle. The world narrows to one bright target, and nothing else exists for a moment. Every step hums with quiet confidence, mischief, and the kind of single-minded focus only a cat can master. Floof has a plan… and the dandelion doesn't stand a chance.
Snoopy and Sasha sit side by side, eyes wary, sizing you up. Unlikely pals with nothing in common, but one thing is clear—they’re not sold on what’s about to happen. Alert, cautious, and just a little skeptical, they make it obvious: approach at your own risk.
Willow sits, all puppy energy captured in one alert, curious gaze. Alert, body poised, she looks straight at you—sweet, open, and entirely present. Every inch radiates the cautious confidence and wonder of early discovery, a small being ready to explore the world with heart and spirit fully engaged.
Higher-Level Thinking – At a height where clouds pause to reconsider, a giraffe discovers that thinking improves when you take your time chewing it over. While everyone else rushes below, he lifts his problems higher and higher, until they look smaller, lighter, almost humorous. Ideas arrive slowly, loop around, and return wiser. His secret isn’t brilliance; it’s altitude and patience. After all, the best solutions aren’t rushed—they’re mulled, calmly, at a higher level.
Winter Bird 2 – Perched on a snow-laden branch, Winter Bird fluffs his feathers against the cold. The forest behind him dissolves into drifting white, its details softened by falling snow. The storm is heavy, the day is quiet, and warmth is something he must make for himself. He does not fight the winter—he endures it. Small, steady, and alert, he waits it out, a quiet reminder that survival can be gentle, and strength does not need to be loud.
